The Pretty Reckless: Head Banging & Body Bashing

Last Wednesday I had the pleasure of going to a Pretty Reckless concert! I've loved the band for a few years now and I was over the moon to have the opportunity to see them in the flesh!
After queueing for at least 4 and a half hours in hope to be front row, My friends finally arrived and we stood in the blistering cold for another hour surviving on jaffa cakes and lukozade.

The tension raised as the queue was let inside and searched (luckily they didn't find the vodka flask the pocket of my leather jacket). As soon as we were finished being interrogated, my friends and I raced to the front of the stage. In a matter of seconds, the tiny venue was ram packed with what seemed to be 50,000 people!

Left: Jonny hawkings                        Right: Jim Morrison

TPR had two support acts. The first, a heavy metal band called "nothing more" that featured a
Jim Morrison looking character, sprinted onto stage and starting screeching! I can easily say I (and the audience) had no idea what was going on!

The second, a band called Heavens Basement, who the crowed seemed more familiar with,  preformed and was a huge improvement to the previous band. They sung a few songs and got the audience excited for The Pretty Reckless.

After what seemed like we were waiting forever, The pretty reckless came on with a bang! They first preformed "Follow Me Down" and the audience loved it! there was an eerie undertone which made it just the more amazing!
A mere few seconds after they started preforming, the entire audience started moshpitting, my friends and I felt elbows digging into our backs, and were being barged into in every direction.
It got so intense that in every song at least 5 people had to be lifted out of the audience. But really, this was to be expected.
Taylor Momsen, who starred in the infamous movie "The Grinch" as a child, sung Fucked up World, Absolution and much more.

Overall, the concert was brilliant! Although feeling lightheaded from all the head banging and my arms going numb from the repetative strain of throwing around my arms, I wouldn't take anything back. It was an amazing experience and I would do it again if I had the chance... however this time i would made sure to wear protective armour.

Classy Christmas

Christmas is just around the corner and this time I'm going all out! (clothing wise).
All i ever hear is designer, designer, designer!
There's just one thing.. MONEY. So today's blog post is about finding alternative, high street prices for the designer clothes we all love.

1. First, (and to me a winter necessity) is a Burberry trench coat.
29 Chatham Place Hackney London E9 6LP

I know, your initial thought when hearing the word "Burberry" is the echo of cash registers. But, what if I told you that a burberry outlet located in Hackney, East London sold items for less than half price than in most burberry stores.

I visited last week and fell in love with my burberry mac, and found some lovely other pieces with it.  E.g. Shirts for £30 and jumpers for £50. Did you say bargain?!

2. An obvious Christmas essential is a wool scarf, something you could never, ever go wrong with!

Recently, I've found myself wearing a lot more of my Farah Vintage navy wool scarf. I've found this scarf matches almost every outfit. whether you're going to an elite red carpet event or to the corner shop. However, if you're looking for a cheaper alternative I'm sure you could find a similar scarf anywhere! The one I found above is from Topman for £14.

3. Chelsea Boots for the win!
After drooling over a pair of leather Chelsea boots for months, but being let down after seeing the price tag I finally came to my senses and checked Ebay. Not only did I find a pair of black Chelsea boots, but real leather too! and wait for it... only £20!

Chelsea boots are an essential for strutting around King's Road, Selfridges and the the streets of the Upper East Side in NYC.

4. The Basics.

H&M Fall-Winter 2014
H&M is one of my recent favourites. I've always had a love hate relationship with the shop, but now I think It's brilliant! H&M is always my favourite place to buy basic pieces of clothing like sweaters, Trousers and T-shirts because not only are they cheap, but they're nice and look expensive too!

5. Suit me up.

Every man needs a suit, but it's hard to find a good one when most suits are ridiculously overpriced!
I would suggest Tkmax or Topman. Tk's has a HUGE range of designer suits for so much cheaper than you would expect! give it a try, you never know what you could find. I found an authentic Rochas Paris suit for £90.
What many people don't know about Topman is their range of fantastic fitting suits starting at only £40!

I hope you enjoyed my first blog post and I hope it was at least a tiny bit helpful! Let me know if you enjoyed it with a comment saying so or a post request! Thank you for reading
